MeTAGeM-Trace provides is an EMF-based framework for model-driven development of model transformations which support trace links generation.

It implements a development process which starts with a high-level specification of the relationships that must hold between elements of source and target models. To that end, these relationships are defined at meatmodel level using a multi-panel editor.

Later on, this high-level specification is subsequently refined into lower-level transformation models until they can be serialized into the source code that implements the modeled transformation.

Running the transformation will produce not only the corresponding target models but also a traces model which contains the trace links between elements of the source and target models involved in the transformation.
